JUCo held a successful General Students' Assembly on June 10, 2026, bringing together students, the Dean of Students, and members of the College Top Management in an open and interactive forum aimed at strengthening communication and addressing matters of student concern.
The assembly was attended by the Principal, Prof. Bertraim Mapunda, the Deputy Principal for Academic Affairs (DPAA), Prof. Daniel Mkude, and the Deputy Principal for Finance and Administration (DPFA), Prof. Ephraim Mtengeti, alongside the Dean of Students, Ms. Lydia Mwaipopo. The leaders engaged students on various issues concerning academic excellence, student welfare, campus development, institutional policies, and the overall progress of the College.
During the session, the College leadership emphasized the importance of maintaining a conducive learning environment and encouraged students to remain focused on their studies, uphold discipline, and actively participate in academic and co-curricular activities. The management also shared updates on ongoing initiatives aimed at improving services and enhancing the student experience at JUCo.
The interactive forum provided students with an opportunity to ask questions, raise concerns, and offer suggestions on matters affecting their academic and social life on campus. The discussions covered a wide range of topics, reflecting the College's commitment to ensuring that students' voices are heard and considered in decision-making processes.
Speaking during the assembly, the Dean of Students commended students for their active participation and constructive contributions, noting that such engagements are essential in fostering mutual understanding and strengthening collaboration between students and the College administration.
The assembly reaffirmed JUCo's commitment to transparency, accountability, and student-centered leadership by providing a platform where students can directly interact with institutional leaders and contribute to the continued growth and development of the College.
