Jordan University College (JUCo) had the honour of hosting a delegation of 25 members of the "I Love Poland" Association (kochampolske.org.pl), a Polish patriotic organisation formally registered in Poland's National Court Register. During their visit to the Morogoro campus, the delegation met with Prof. Bertram B. B. Mapunda, Principal of JUCo, for an exchange on the College"s growth, mission and its long-standing connection to Polish history in Tanzania.

On 22 June 2026, the members visited the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Dar es Salaam to promote the Association's activities. On that occasion they expressed their sincere appreciation and gratitude to Jordan University College, and pledged to serve as ambassadors of JUCo in all of their forthcoming undertakings.

About the Association
The Association grew out of an established community of motorcyclists. It was founded on the basis of the riders of the International Katy? Motorcycle Rally, together with other patriotic circles, and brings together people deeply devoted to their country - among them the youth of the Catholic Youth Association, alongside Fr. Dr. Andrzej Lubowicki, a vice-president of the Association. Its guiding motto is "Kocham Polsk? i Ty j? Kochaj" ("I love Poland, and you love it too").

According to the register, the Association's leadership comprises Micha? Konrad Szeliga, President of the Board; Wojciech Jerzy Borzym and Andrzej Lubowicki, Vice-Presidents; and Zenon Marian Zielski, Board Member. Its stated aims include cultivating national traditions, raising historical awareness, passing Polish history to younger generations - with particular emphasis on the eastern Borderlands preserving historical archives, and fostering cooperation with Poles and the Polish diaspora abroad.

The Memorial Rally Through Tanzania
The delegation's journey to Tanzania is known as the IV Rajd Pami?ci Armii Genera?a Andersa (4th Memorial Rally of General Anders' Army). From 11 to 25 June 2026, the group of 25 members - travelling on 10 motorcycles and in 5 cars - set out to visit all of the cemeteries where Polish citizens are buried in Tanzania. At each site they celebrated Holy Mass and acted as ambassadors of Poland.

Tanzania is home to six cemeteries of Poles who were relocated to the former Tanganyika between 1942 and 1945. These are the resting places of several dozen Polish refugees and Siberian deportees who arrived in 1942 following their evacuation from the USSR with Anders' Army. The cemeteries are located in Arusha, Kondoa, Ifunda, Kidugala, Morogoro and Dar es Salaam.

A Shared History with Jordan University College
In 2022, Jordan University College - in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland - organised a historical conference marking the 80th anniversary of the arrival of Polish World War II refugees in Tanganyika. The recent visit by the "I Love Poland" Association builds on that shared commitment to preserving this chapter of Polish-Tanzanian history.

A special role in organising the logistics for the visit was played by Dr. Jacek Gorka OFM, Director of Outreach and Internationalization at Jordan University College.
