On 26th June 2026, The Principal of Jordan University College (JUCo), Prof. Bertram B. B. Mapunda, participated in the Tanzania Association of Private Universities (TAPU) meeting, hosted by Ruaha Catholic University (RUCU) in Iringa.

The meeting brought together Vice Chancellors and Principals of private universities across Tanzania to discuss key issues aimed at strengthening higher education. Deliberations focused on enhancing academic quality, research, innovation, good governance, institutional collaboration, and the overall development of the higher education sector.

The meeting also featured the election of new TAPU leaders. The Vice Chancellor of Dar es Salaam Tumaini University (DarTU) was elected as the new Chairperson of TAPU, while the Vice Chancellor of the Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences (CUHAS) was elected Vice Chairperson.

Prof. Mapunda's participation reflects Jordan University College's continued commitment to collaborating with other higher education institutions in promoting academic excellence, research, innovation, and community engagement for the advancement of higher education in Tanzania.
