The volunteer programme by student volunteers from Fu Jen Catholic University (Taiwan) today entered Day Eight at Jordan University College (JUCo), with participants continuing to benefit from practical Computer Applications training aimed at enhancing their digital skills.
During today's session, students engaged in hands-on learning in essential computer applications, gaining practical knowledge that supports their academic studies and prepares them for the modern digital workplace. The interactive training encouraged active participation, teamwork, and problem-solving, with the volunteers providing personalized guidance throughout the session.
The programme, which began on 29 June 2026 and will conclude on 10 July 2026, offers daily sessions in Computer Applications, Chinese Language, and Cultural Exchange. Since its launch, the initiative has attracted students from various academic programmes, providing them with a unique opportunity to develop practical skills while interacting with peers from a different cultural background.
Implemented under the TANFUNIA You&Me programme, the initiative reflects the enduring friendship and cooperation between Tanzania and Taiwan. It also demonstrates the strong partnership between Jordan University College and Fu Jen Catholic University, which has continued to promote academic collaboration, volunteer service, and intercultural exchange since 2019.
The programme is being conducted in collaboration with the Department of Information Science under the leadership of Dr. Nolasko Mwinami, Head of the Department. As the programme approaches its conclusion, JUCo encourages students to make the most of the remaining sessions before the volunteer programme officially ends on 10 July 2026.
