Programme Objectives

The purpose of this programme is to provide a sound foundation in the principles of psychology and counselling thus developing ability of performing some non-routine duties related to counselling management. This is a one-year programme divided into two semesters.
  • To prepare graduates with a wide range of choices of employment
  • To train students in the various approaches and range of skills that needed in managing every day challenges

Entry Requirements

  • The NTA Level 5 curriculum is the only pre-requisite for the Ordinary Diploma in Psychology and Counseling and other related fields. Hence, The programme is open to holders of: Form VI with at least one principal and a subsidiary pass or NTA level 4 certificate in Psychology and Counseling or in a related fields such as Nursing, Social Work or clinical officer
